Sony TV's Ek Nayi Pehchaan and Main Naa Bhoolungi complete a century!

It's celebration time for Sony TV's two popular shows Ek Nayi Pehchaan and Main Naa Bhoolungi  which have garnered attention of the viewers through its unique concept and eye catching tracks in the shows. These shows have completed 100 episodes successfully. Both the shows are celebrating this happy moment with a cake cutting on their respective sets.

We got in touch with the actors who shared their experience and also speak about their association with the shows.

Nigaar Z. Khan seen as Madhurima in Main Naa Bhoolungi -

The journey has been great. This is the only show which has come up with a unique concept and though I have a grey shade it is fun to play. I have got a chance to work with so many directors in different shades in the show and I got a chance to learn a lot from these talented people. Then I got an opportunity to work with talented actors and they are really amazing like Aishwarya Sakhuja, Papiya Dey, and others. I am really happy that we have competed 100 episodes today and we will be shooting a very interesting sequence today. The show is really doing good though there are ups and downs but still we will a long way to go. I have shed weight to look slimmer in those saris which I wear in the show. To look good in those saris you need to have a perfect body so that it doesn't look absurd and so I have really worked hard to achieve it and I can't thank god for giving me everything.

Aishwarya Sakhuja as Shikha / Samaira in Main Naa Bhoolungi -

The journey till now is very good and fulfilling as an actor. The role which I play in the show is very difficult and sometimes I find it easy or sometimes I have to struggle a lot to play my role but yes it is fun to play the role. I don't know what is the response I am getting for my character as I am caught up with my work. My loyal fans message me and give me their comments and I really thank full to them and to all who like my efforts. I am sure that there must be some celebration on the set and so they have called me. I am really happy that we have completed 100 episodes.

Vikas Manaktala as Sameer in Main Naa Bhoolungi -

I think journey was quite nice and brilliant, the entire cast and crew are now getting well along with each other and the show is really getting a good response in 5 months itself. I have come to television after 5 years with this show and it was really a welcoming response from the audience. I am playing a grey shade character in the show which is completely new for the viewers as they have seen me playing positive roles which was loved by the audience. But as expected my audience loves me for my character in Main Na Bhoolungi because though my character is negative but is good at heart, he is trying to give everything and do everything for the woman he loves. But playing negative was really tough for me. When the promos of the show was on air my land lady got so scared with my character that she gave me a notice to leave the house. The entire society was on my favor as they knew me very well but still my land lady asked me to leave the house. As I was very busy with the shooting I didn't had time to find another house but my friends helped me a lot. So these were the difficulties I faced but now all is well.

Karan Sharma seen as Karan in Ek Nayi Pehchaan

"My experience till now with the show has been quite good. I was quite nervous when we were shooting for our first episode. I have never done a role of this kind and with this intensity. It is a very immature love story. My character gradually develops from being a very naughty person to get forcefully married to a little caring towards the people around and now a loving husband. I have enjoyed every change and development in the character. It is because of this show that I have grown as an actor. I wish the show does well even in the future and we keep getting the love and support from our audiences."

Krystle Dsouza, seen as Sakshi in Ek Nayi Pehchaan -

"My journey till now with Ek Nayi Pehchaan has been very good, fun and very positive. I actually did not face any kind of difficulty in portraying the character of Sakshi. She is much like what I am in real life. Sakshi is just too similar to Krystle. I do not hesitate to speak up for the right and stand against the wrong. I am not shy and if I see that something wrong is happening then I will definitely raise my voice up. One instance that I clearly remember is that I took a lot of time in agreeing to do Ek Nayi Pehchaan. I kept denying and gave excuses like I am out of town or I am busy to avoid the show. I did not want to take up a new show so soon as I had just completed with Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behena Hai. Then one fine day they called me to the office and told me that this role of Sakshi is meant just for you and after listening to the narration I spontaneously said yes. I think the character that I am portraying now is very difficult from that of my previous character. Jeevika was very calm, composed and listening to everyone whereas Sakshi is very bubbly, chulbuli and so like me."

Ankita Bhargava, seen as Latika in Ek Nayi Pehchaan -

"I am super satisfied playing the character of Latika because she is a very real person. There is nothing fake about her. What she feels is on her face. She is humble enough to realize her mistake and strong enough to stand by her conviction. If Latika gets angry at Sharda (Poonam ji), she also realizes mother's point of view and apologizes immediately. The bond between Sharda and Latika is very real. I have had so many mothers coming up to me and telling me that their super successful daughters are exactly like Latika. God is kind! Working with seniors like Ritaji (Rita Bhaduri), Soorajji (Sooraj Thapar) and Poonam ji is such a learning experience. Apart from being amazing actors they are technically so strong. Playing Latika was initially very difficult because I am not like her at all. I am a very chilled out person and keep my temper in check. I am not badtameez with my mother. Thus acting out those rude scenes with Poonamji was very difficult. My introduction scene in episode 1 of Ek Nayi Pehchaan is most memorable. It was my 1^st meeting with Poonamji and we were shooting a very difficult scene. That 1 scene had to depict all of Latika from attitude to anger to humility to modesty to being able to realize her mistakes to being a focused business woman. I had to do a lot of movement and talking. Poonam ji got very impressed by my work."
