Actor Sonu Sood is being hailed for his philanthropic gestures across the entire nation and his fans are always delighted about the initiatives taken up by the actor to help his countrymen. However, some fraudsters are using Sonu Sood’s foundation name to provide fake loans.
The fraudsters asked for a legal fee of Rs. 3500 under the pretense of providing loans with his foundation name. Recently, Sood reported the same and warned his fans by taking to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Sood Charity Foundation does not provide any kind of loans. Please BEWARE of these scams and frauds. One such fake number is +91 90072 24111. Thank you!” He also attached a picture of an ‘Approval Letter’ which the scammers are providing.
Check out the tweet below:
As per the sources, the scammer has created a bogus loan approval letterhead under “Sonu Sood Foundation” and issued the letter to people who inquired. The ‘fake letter’ also showed the bank account number.
If we are to go by the reports, Sonu Sood has filed a case with the Uttar Pradesh police and soon he will lodge one with the Mumbai police.
The Dabangg actor won million hearts with his selfless acts ever since the government decreed a nationwide lockdown. Apart from providing transport facilities for the migrant workers, he also provided medical facilities, education facilities, employment facilities, and many more.
