Sonu Sood has directed his efforts towards relieving the plight of migrant workers and students who are stuck in the different parts of the country. The coronavirus scare has shocked the entire nation as workers hiked towards their native homes amid the nationwide lockdown.

However, Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut and Congress leader Nagma alleged that his relief efforts are politically motivated.

In a recent interview with Times of India, Sood reacted to the same and said he is not bothered by these claims.

When those allegations were made about me and the controversy erupted, I didn’t even read what was being written. When someone called to take my opinion on the matter, I was busy arranging travel for laborers and I told the person that right now I am doing something important and I don’t have time to react.

Sonu Sood also highlighted that people will always denounce someone who is trying to do good work. He also said that when you are trying to do something different and good, people will point their fingers at you.

I don’t care about such allegations. The idea is, when you are trying to do something different and good, people will point their fingers at you. As a matter of fact, such allegations strengthen my resolve to do more, and do better. And we actually got inspired to do more. We are, and we will continue doing the good work.

Earlier, Sood organized 10 buses for migrant workers to take them back home to Gulbarga, Karnataka. Now, he has organized multiple bus services to take migrant workers to Uttar Pradesh. The Dabangg actor has taken extra precautions and after several efforts, managed to get official permissions from the UP state government to send migrants to their hometowns.

Previously, the actor provided food to migrant workers and gave away his Mumbai hotel for the accommodation of the medical forces, and donated over 1,500 PPE kits to doctors across Punjab.

After Union minister Smriti Irani, cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and actor Ajay Devgn, Sood was also lauded by the Governor of Maharashtra.
