Actor Sonu Sood has earned the title of ‘Messiah’ in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. He came out for the help of migrants and arranged for transportation for them to travel to their hometown during the first lockdown. Now, the actor has been helping the nation in times of crippling healthcare infrastructure. 

Reflecting on saving lives and helping people amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Sonu said he is trying his best to be of help. The Dabangg actor also mentioned that he has been making numerous calls in the middle of the night. 

Sood on Tuesday night penned his thoughts about the same and mentioned that helping and saving people’s lives is more satisfying than being a part of any 100cr film. He also asserted, “We can't sleep when people are in front of hospitals waiting for a bed.”

Taking to his Twitter handle, Sonu Sood wrote: "In the middle of night,after making numerous calls if u r able to get beds for needy, oxygen for some people n save few lives, I swear..it's million times more satisfying than being a part of any 100cr film. We can't sleep when people are in front of hospitals waiting for a bed."

Sood, unfortunately, tested positive for Covid-19 on April, 17 - while he was in quarantine, the actor continued with his philanthropic work.

After six days, the Kung Fu Yoga actor recovered and tested negative for Covid-19. He took to social media to announce the same with a picture and wrote alongside: “Tested: COVID-19 Negative”.

Actor Sonu Sood is being hailed for his philanthropic gestures since the last year now. Amid the spike in Covid-19 cases across the country, he has continued to extend help to people.  

The onset of the Coronavirus pandemic has put the world at a standstill and while the ‘Film industry’ is one of the gravely affected businesses, production houses and theatres are struggling to survive. 

As the nation faces the second wave of COVID-19, Sonu has come forward with yet another initiative to get people vaccinated. He launched `Sanjeevani - A Shot of Life`, a free vaccination drive initiative to encourage people to get vaccinated and raise awareness in the country.
