Actor Sonu Sood has been a messiah indeed for many out there during lockdown where he has done an array of humanitarian acts. However, a few days ago, BMC filed a complaint against Sood for illegal construction. As per online reports, BMC has alleged in their report that Sood has allegedly turned 6-storey residential building into a hotel without civic body's permission. In a recent update on the same, we know how a plea filed by Sood in High Court requesting to quash or grant interim relief in this case was rejected.

Now, as per reports, the actor has moved to Supreme Court.

The actor has been reported to challenge HC’s rejection, the actor’s advocate Vineet Dhanda, said, “Key grounds to challenge the High Court order are that it was projected by BMC that he is not the owner of the property. Though, he has been issued notice as an owner and occupier.” The advocate commenting on this case mentioned this attempt is to tarnish his client’s image. He said, “Some harsh terms have been used against his client that he is a habitual offender. This is too harsh on him and his image is being tarnished.”

The actor’s advocate mentioned about his client extending his helping hand when it comes to welfare activities. As per reports, the actor’s advocate had asked BMC to give them 10 weeks after a notice was issued to the actor to act on it. HC had ordered Sonu Sood to approach the civic body, Justice Chavan said, “The ball is now in the office of the BMC...you (Sonu Sood) may approach them.”

In the plea, Sonu had mentioned that he did not carry out any illegal construction; according to reports from BMC, the actor carried out changes on the sixth floor of his residential building. As per reports, actor said to have converted his certain section of his residential property into hotel, without taking the necessary permissions.
