Actor Sonu Sood has been a messiah indeed for many out there during lockdown where he has done an array of humanitarian acts. However, a few days ago, BMC filed a complaint against Sood for illegal construction. As per online reports, BMC has alleged in their report that Sood has allegedly turned 6-storey residential building into a hotel without civic body's permission. Now, latest development says, Bombay High Court has granted temporary interim protection for Sood.
According to a reply in Hindustan Times, the court has restrained BMC from taking any action on the demolition notice issued to him r by the authority. HC has put a stay on the order for 2 days. The court has granted interim protection to the actor. It was recently when Sonu Sood with wife Sonali had moved to HC and filed a petition.
In their petition, they had clearly mentioned, "Ought to have considered that the notice was issued by the complainant (BMC) who is hell-bent on causing harm to the property of the appellants if at all its illegal demands are not satisfied."
Talking about it to Times of India, Sood said, "I have taken approval for change of use from the BMC. It was subject to the approval of the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority. This permission hasn't come due to Covid-19. There are no irregularities. I always abide by the law. Tthis hotel was used to house Covid-19 warriors during the pandemic. If permissions don't come, I will restore it back to a residential structure. I am appealing against the BMC's complaint in the Bombay HC."
