The Coronavirus pandemic has brought the world to a standstill and many nations are trying their best to combat this virus. Sonu Sood has been actively creating awareness about the novel virus and has also donated graciously for the people. Considering the high demand of PPE kits and face masks, Sood has once again come to help Maharashtra State by making donations for the Mumbai Police.

While he has already emerged as a real life hero amid the coronavirus pandemic by providing transport facilities for the migrant workers, the actor has now donated 25,000 face shields to Maharashtra police personnel.

Post his gracious act, Maharashtra Home Minister, Anil Deshmukh praised the actor for his donation. Sharing a picture of him posing along Sonu, he took to his Twitter handle to share the news and thank the actor for his gesture. He tweeted, “I thank @SonuSood Ji for your generous contribution of giving 25,000 #FaceShields for our police personnel.” 

Sonu replied to the state home minister on Twitter, saying, “Truly honoured by your kind words Sir! My police brothers & sisters are our real heroes & this is the least that I can do for the commendable work which they have been doing. Jai Hind #OurRealHeroes @DGPMaharashtra.”

The 46-year-old actor has done a tremendous job and he continues to direct his efforts towards relieving the plight of people and front line workers affected by the crisis during lockdown. He has been applauded by Union minister Smriti Irani, cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and actor Ajay Devgn, the Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari and even Governor of Maharashtra for his efforts to help the migrant workers. 

The Dabangg actor has directed his efforts towards relieving the plight of migrant workers and students who are stuck in different parts of the nation. From arranging busses to making food donations, Sood has done it all and he continues to do so as the number of migrants seek help through social media.

The coronavirus scare has shocked the entire nation as workers continue to hike towards their native homes amid the nationwide lockdown.

Sonu Sood organized 10 buses for migrant workers to help them reach Gulbarga, Karnataka. Later he organized multiple bus services to take migrant workers to Uttar Pradesh.
