Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, De De Pyaar De to have Sequels, Confirms Bhushan Kumar

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety marked actor Kartik Aaryan’s breakthrough project in 2018. The comedy-drama also starred Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh in lead roles. The film set around a bromance between the two male actors was directed by Luv Ranjan.

The movie was a blockbuster hit, and Kartik had earlier claimed Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety defined his career. “It was a film that actually changed my life. After the film’s success, I started getting attention from the right kind of people. They started noticing me the way I wanted them to notice me. I started getting response from the people who I wanted to work with,” he said in an interview.

And now, Bhushan Kumar has confirmed the sequel to Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Talking to Mumbai Mirror in an interview, Bhushan said, “We are definitely doing Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety 2, it’s a great franchise to take forward.”

Bhushan Kumar also confirmed the sequel of yet another comedy-drama- Ajay Devgn’s 2019 film De De Pyaar De also starring Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh. “Yes, Luv Ranjan and I have a sequel in mind for De De Pyaar De,” he told the tabloid.

Meanwhile, Bhushan’s next project is Bhuj The Pride of India featuring Ajay Devgn. directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the war action film is about IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, the then in-charge of the Bhuj airport who and his team reconstructed the IAF airbase with the help of 300 local women.

 The film was under production, however, all shootings were later halted due to the nationwide lockdown in the wake of coronavirus.
