Sonam Slams International Basketball star Rudy Gobert: Calls him, ‘Irresponsible’!

The Coronavirus outbreak was recently termed as a pandemic by the WHO (World Health Organization). Several preventive measures are taken up across the globe, however, NBA player Rudy Gobert didn’t seem to be bothered by the outbreak. Now, Sonam Kapoor has taken to her Twitter handle and slammed the International Basketball star. 

Sonam re-tweeted a tweet made by The Washington Post that read, “NBA players Rudy Gobert mocked the coronavirus by touching reporters’ mics and phones. Then he tested positive.” She instantly re-tweeted calling the NBA star ‘Irresponsible’ for his actions.

The reports in The Washington Post stated that Gobert mocked the virus and joked with members of the media by making sure to touch all the microphones and recording devices reporters had placed on the table in front of him as he left the news conference. On Wednesday, the Basketball star was tested positive for Coronavirus.

On Thursday, Gobert took to his Instagram handle to post an apology for his careless behavior. “I hope my story serves as a warning and causes everyone to take this seriously,” the NBA star said in a message posted to Instagram.
