Ayushmann Khurrana made his Bollywood debut with Vicky Donor and since then there has been no looking back for him. He has charmed the audience with his stellar performances and by giving hit films like Article 15, Bala, Andhadhun and a few more, he has turned out to be the most bankable actor of recent times.

Be it his making us roll on the floor laughing with his classic comic timings, or draining us in an emotional pool or enthralling us with his abstract characters, Ayushmann has never failed to leave leave us stunned with his versatility.

Now, a not so viewed interview of the Dream Girl actor is going viral wherein he has revealed his struggle story and all that it took for him to become an actor. Recalling his times, Ayushamann shared that unlike other actors, he didn't run away from his home, instead he was thrown out of his home by his dad.

About his dad throwing him out of their family home to struggle in Mumbai, Ayushmann shared,

When I first told my father that I want to be an actor and want to pursue arts, he said, 'how will you earn? You won't even get married, you will have to live you entire life on Samosa and chai. So it can't be that you just do arts.' So, he put two conditions in front of me if I were to pursue theatre. 'One, you have to have a 100% attendance in the college and second, you have to top'. So, I was the only one in my class who used to consistently attend all the classes and topped all three years...

After getting a warning from his father, Ayushmann made up his mind that the only way to achieve his dreams was to focus on his studies, accomplish success academically and also start preparing for his acting career. And not only did he do well in in his academics but he also established himself in theater. He then told that while he was preparing himself both physically and mentally to survive the huge Mumbai crowd, his father had another plan for him.

In 2006, was about to do a play with my group in which I was the lead actor. I had planned that I would do theatre and prepare myself completely before going to Mumbai.

Sometimes you are unaware of the fact that you are ready to go. It was then that my father packed my bags and threw me out. Log bhag kar actor bante hain, mujhe bhagaya gaya tha...

Expressing his gratitude and crediting his father's astrology behind his success, Ayushmann said,

My father is an astrologer so he said that you are all prepared and if you stop now you will remain here. But I don't know if it was his astrological brain or his fatherly wisdom. He was sending me to struggle there.

After coming to Mumbai Ayushmann knew it's going to be a tough battle and that he had to survive many storms alone. Since had no acquaintance or a place to live in this expensive city of dreams, he decided to contact one of his very old friend and decided to stay with him. Here again, he had to make a little tricky decision. His friend used to live in a single room set apartment in Mumbai with his girlfriend but since Ayushmann had nowhere to go and not much money to support himself with heavy rentals, so he moved in at his friend's home.

Whenever the two (his friend and his girlfriend) got into a quarrel, Ayushmann had to sleep with his friend and his girlfriend in between them on their "queen size bed."

Sharing about Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, the Bala actor said that he already has addressed numerous social issues in his films and once again the actor is set to tackle gay love in his next outing 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' which will be helmed by Hitesh Kewalaya. Speaking about the subject of the upcoming film, Ayushmann in an interview, had affirmed his belief that there could not be a better time to make a film based on the LGBTQ community.

I believe that India is ready for that character and that kind of cinema. Also, when the Supreme Court has legalised same-sex relationship, this is the right time for a love story on the LGBTQ community
