Shaheer is currently portraying the character of Salim in Colors' period drama Dastaan-E-Mohabbat : Salim Anarkali opposite actress Sonarika Bhadouri. He shot to fame with Star Plus' mythological series Mahabharata whereas Sonarika was part of shows like Navya, Jhansi Ki Rani, Kya Mast Hai Life, Sanya and Best Of Luck Nikki among others. After Indonesian channel Ant TV bought the rights of Mahabharata, Shaheer became a household name and a heart-throb in Indonesia; he is also referred as SRK of Indonesia.
Veteran actress, Supriya Pilangaonkar played the role of possessive mother in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke ... She is popular in both movies and television shows.
