Sikandar Kharbanda in Star Bharat’s Jag Janani Maa Vaishnodevi

Actor Sikandar Kharbanda who is known for his performance in popular shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Kasautii Zindagii Kay is set to enter Star Bharat’s newly launched Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi. The actor who was last seen in Zee TV’s Hamari Bahu Silk will make his debut into the mythological genre with the show.

When we contacted Sikandar, he confirmed the news and revealed a few details about his character. “I play the character of ‘PisachRaj’ or King of ghosts, one of the many dark energies that will be defeated by Maa Vaishno Devi. It’s a very different character and my first mythological show. The way it’s been shot is unique in itself. I’m on the harness and perform midair, which is a challenge. It takes over 2 hours for my makeup and wig followed by rehearsals on the harness. It’s choreographed and controlled by stunt masters.”

Apart from Television shows, Sikander recently starred in Ullu App’s web series titled #MeToo. In the series, he is seen playing a Punjabi singer will all vices. His character is on the lines of Shahid Kapoor in Udta Punjab.
