Sidharth Malhotra & Kiara Advani's 'Shershaah' gets a release date

The pandemic continues to be a grim reality even now and things are definitely far from getting 'back to normal.' This has led an array of filmmakers since the past year to resort to OTT platforms for their film's release and making sure it is out on time.

Several filmmakers have still somehow held on to the idea of releasing their film on the big screen but with more time passing by, they might have cave in. That might have been the idea with Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani' starrer Shershaah' as well. 

The Kargil war drama was definitely planned for the big screen and would have made it to the same as well if things were better. But as things stand, the film is now all set and rolling to have a digital release and will be arriving on Amazon Prime Video.

Interestingly, apart from this being Malhotra and Advani cs first on-screen collaboration, this is also Amazon Prime Video's first collaboration with Dharma Productions where the latter has only done multiple projects with Netflix lately. The film is directed by Vishnu Vardhan who makes his debut in the Hindi film industry while being a renowned name in the Tamil film industry.
