Shweta Tiwari, one of the most popular faces in the television industry, is winning hearts with her portrayal as Guneet Sikka along with Varun Badola aka Amber Sharma in Sony Entertainment Television's show, Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. It’s the chalk and cheese chemistry of Guneet and Amber that has the audience glued to the show. In the current track, Guneet is upset with Amber as she learns that Amber was No Drama Please and she is in no mood to forgive him. However, Guneet has shifted and doesn’t stay at Amber’s anymore.
Guneet has been shown as a strong woman from the beginning of the show, who has taken care of herself and her mother. Moreover, she is also someone who is quite fitness conscious. Due to lockdown, Guneet who doesn’t want to compromise on her fitness regime, decides to take up online Zumba lessons. Now Shweta, who is known to give her best to all the roles she plays, decided to train in Zumba. In order to play the part perfectly, Shweta started seeing Zumba sessions online and even practicing them to get the steps right on screen.
Shweta, who has always been passionate about her work, shares, “Even though I love dance and have been praised for my dancing talent, I haven't taken any professional training for Zumba earlier, but now as I have to do Zumba on the show, I believe in giving my best. So, I took virtual Zumba sessions from a trainer, who conducted these sessions online. Even for Guneet, Zumba has been a stress reliever for her as she has been through a lot lately and it’s a great way to work-out and stay fit.”
She further adds, “Not only me but Palak also took these lessons with me, as she thinks it is an excellent form of exercise, which is also so much fun. This not only helps in adding perfection to my role in Mere Dad Ki Dulhan, but also helps in keeping my mood light, energetic and happy, along with its many physical benefits.”
Watch Shweta Tiwari as Guneet Sikka on Mere Dad Ki Dulhan, Monday to Friday at 10 PM only on Sony Entertainment Television.
