Actress Shriya Tiwari is currently winning attention for her role as Saloni Virani, a sanskari bahu, in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2. The show, which is a sequel and reboot of the iconic series featuring Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay as Tulsi and Mihir Virani, continues to connect strongly with audiences. Along with this, Shriya is also seen in Seher – Hone Ko Hai, where she plays a completely different character, showcasing her versatility as an actor.

Managing two shows at once is not easy, and Shriya openly shared the challenges that come with it. She explained that both shows are doing well and her roles in them are important, which means she has to give equal time and energy to both. This often makes it difficult to manage shooting schedules. However, she also mentioned that the production teams understand her situation and support her growth as an actor, which helps in balancing the workload.

Talking about this, she said, “It is difficult to cope with two shows at a time as both shows are doing great and I play an important role in them. And I need to shoot equally with both the teams. So at times, dates are tough to manage. However, productions somehow understand my side and value and care for an actor's growth, making adjustments accordingly. So thats how it is managed...”

Playing Two Different Worlds on Screen

One of the most interesting aspects of Shriya’s current work is playing two very different characters simultaneously. In Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2, she plays Saloni, who is sweet, innocent, and deeply rooted in family values. Her character revolves around her family and her husband’s growth, making her a classic representation of a traditional bahu.

On the other hand, in Seher – Hone Ko Hai, she plays Barkat, a strong and independent woman who fights for women’s rights and education. While both characters are positive, their personalities and approaches to life are completely different. This contrast allows Shriya to explore different shades of acting and connect with audiences in unique ways.

Speaking about this, she said, “I play the role of Saloni in Kyunki and Barkat in Seher – Hone Ko Hai, they both are quite different characters even though both are positive where as saloni is sweet, innocent and her world revolves around family and her husband's growth on other hand barkat is a very independent women and very strong character who is fighting for women's rights and education. So both the roles are fun to play, and I always wanted to essay something strong like this. If you are doing TV, you need to experience playing a Sankari Bahu as that's what TV audience loves more, Saas Bahu drama always rules the TV screens.”

Expanding Horizons as an Actor

Apart from television, Shriya Tiwari has also worked in films. Her notable projects include the Gujarati thriller Tu Mari Aspaas Chhe (2017) and films like Aagantuk (2023), IMA Gujju (2018), and Tuu To Gayo. These projects have helped her gain experience across different formats and industries.

She also spoke about her decision to move towards Hindi television projects. According to her, this was a planned step taken in 2021 to explore new opportunities and connect with a wider audience. For Shriya, growth as an actor comes from taking up new challenges and expanding her reach.

Sharing her thoughts, she said, “I planned it in 2021 that I want to try my luck in hindi projects now. As an actor I was looking for new opportunities and wished to expand my horizons. I wanted to connect with a new audience. So I decided to try my luck in the Hindi entertainment industry. I'm also looking forward to act in web series and films. An as actor I dont wish to limit myself..”

With her ability to handle multiple roles and her willingness to explore different kinds of characters, Shriya Tiwari continues to grow in her career. Balancing two shows while also planning for future opportunities reflects her dedication and commitment to her craft.
