Contiloe Productions is a name to reckon with when it comes to periodic shows. The production house in the past has, successfully rolled out hit periodic shows like Veer Shivaji, Jhansi Ki Rani among others.

The production house is all set to launch its next historical based show that has been titled Sher-E-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The project after much delay, is finally materialising.

So far the makers Contiloe have roped in Damanpreet Singh for the role of the protagonist - Ranjit Singh, Shaleen Bhanot for the role of Ranjit Singh's father, Bollywood actor Chandrachur Singh for the role of Ranjit Singh's Grandfather and Sneha Wagh, Sonia Singh for other other pivotal roles.

And now, there is news coming in that the show will now take the place of Kalash - Ek Vishwaas, that airs on Life OK in the 8:30 pm time slot.

We'll now have to wait and watch if this materialises or not.

I will surely miss Ravika. This was kind of obvious that Maharaja Ranjit Singh would replace Kalash as if they air it in the 7:30p.m slot, It will clash with Peshwa Bajirao and they don't want two historicals clashing. All the best Aparna and Krip for your future endeavours

The show seems nice but sad that the man who be at his wife gets the titular role. Isn't this choice an insult to the actual Maharaja Ranjit Singh?

Got mixed feelings regarding this show. Although it's unlikely but I still hope they dont butcher history for the sake of so called creative liberty the way they did with MP and CAS.
