In the ever-evolving world of Indian television, Shehzad Shaikh, currently seen as Shlok in Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan, produced by Dreamiyata Entertainment, is embracing both the spotlight and the solitude that comes with it. In a candid conversation, the actor opened up about fame, self-doubt, and the realities of life behind the camera.
Talking about fame, Shehzad expressed his genuine enjoyment of it. He shared that he has always wanted it and is truly happy with it. At the same time, he stays humble and doesn't let it affect him negatively. For him, fame is simply a part of life, and he is glad to have it.
Balancing Fame with Humility and Acceptance
On staying motivated through ups and downs, he shared a grounded perspective. He believes that life keeps changing, with phases where one is at the top and times when things are not the same. According to him, this is natural, and he has learned to accept it.
The actor also admitted that self-doubt is something he constantly faces. However, he believes that faith, courage, and belief help in overcoming it. He also feels that taking action is the only real solution. Instead of overthinking, he prefers to move forward and learn from the outcome.
Finding Strength in Solitude and Close Relationships
After spending long and demanding hours on set, Shehzad prefers to disconnect and spend time alone. He shared that after being around people for 13 to 14 hours, he values his personal space and chooses to stay at home to recharge.
He also credits his family and close friends for helping him stay grounded. According to him, they serve as a reality check, ensuring he does not become arrogant or lose his perspective.
When asked about criticism, his response was simple and clear. He said that he does not care about it and chooses not to let it affect him.
For Shehzad, having work itself is a blessing. He sees it as self-care and feels grateful every day for the opportunities he receives. He believes in living with gratitude and appreciating everything he has.
Faith, Identity and Lessons from Fame
His spiritual side also plays an important role in his life. He shared that he prays as often as he can, and even if he is not able to follow it perfectly, he makes sure to pray whenever possible. This gives him strength and helps him stay balanced.
Interestingly, Shehzad does not separate his identity from his profession. He believes that his work defines who he is, and he is known through the characters he has played. For the audience, he becomes those roles, whether it is Naqsh, Arjun, or Shantanu Shukla.
Reflecting on the lessons fame has taught him, Shehzad highlighted the importance of humility and kindness. He believes that one should never take anything for granted because life can change at any time. He also stressed that being kind and humble is important, as the people one meets today may matter in unexpected ways in the future. For him, gratitude remains the most important value in life.
