Shanaya Kapoor’s debut film shoot in Bangkok got delayed after actress tested positive for covid-19

It was previously reported that Shanaya Kapoor will star in a rom-com directed by Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan. The team was all set to begin work on the Bangkok schedule in a week, but according to our sources, all plans have been thrown into disarray after Shanaya Kapoor tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. 

"Shanaya, along with her two leads, Lakshya Lalwani and Gurfateh Pirzada, were all set to fly to Bangkok to begin filming on this rom-com." All plans have been halted after the actress recently tested positive for the Covid-19 virus, and the film will now begin production in the same location in January. "Shanaya is currently quarantined, and the team is not in a rush to shoot the film," said a source close to the situation. 

According to the source, preparations for the shoot in Bangkok have already begun, as half of the crew is already stationed in Thailand's capital. "A team was in Bangkok preparing for the shoot, and another team was scheduled to fly this week with Shanaya, Lakshya, and Gurfateh." With the unprecedented situation, everyone will return to Mumbai this week and leave next year once everyone is in good health," the source added.

To ace their acting skills, the trio has attended several acting workshops and script reading sessions over the last few months. Contrary to popular belief, the film in question is not Student Of The Year 3, but rather a new script. Once the film begins production, an official announcement regarding the title and other details will be made. Karan will produce the film, which will be directed by Shashank. He is well-known for films such as the Dulhania franchise and Dhadak, and he is currently preparing for the release of Govinda Naam Mera, which stars Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, and Kiara Advani.
