Shaleen Bhanot injured!

Actor Shaleen Bhanot, who plays the role of baddie Duryodhan in Sony TV's Suryaputra Karn, recently injured himself on the sets of his show. The actor got hit by his co-star with a mace (gada) while shooting for a fight sequence.

However, the dedicated actor continued to shoot for the sequence despite being in immense pain. He then had to be rushed back to Mumbai for a proper check-up when the swelling did not subside.

We buzzed Shaleen who told us about the whole incident, "There was a fight sequence that was being shot between Bheem (Ketan Karande) and me. And we were shooting with a real mace (gadas) which weighed around 2.5 kilos. It happened by mistake. Either he miscalculated the distance or I missed the timing and the mace hit me right on my pupil. Ketan is feeling guilty about it but it was no one's fault."

The actor has now recovered and is back on set. He jokingly said, "My makeup dada is trying to make my Chinese looking face a little bit Indianised. I was given 2 days off by the producers. The wound has healed, but since I play the hot-headed Duryodhan, I have to play with my eyes a lot. I am keeping my eyes shut for almost 4-5 hours on set, so that I can give them rest."
