Actor Aakash Talwar, who plays Tapish Singhania in 'Naagin 5', is also seen as Daljeet Singh in the show, 'Shakti --- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki'. Ask Aakash what made him give his nod to 'Shakti' and he replies, "It has been loved by viewers for years, and I saw this as a wonderful opportunity to get associated with such a popular project."

About his character, he shares, "Daljeet Singh is an arrogant, harsh and tough Punjab Police Inspector, who obeys his father blindly. He acts emotional and sweet with his wife Gurvinder, and makes her take the blame of not being able to bear a child. Daljeet is a dual character, who, for the sake of his family and reputation, does things that might even harm his own brother, Virat."

The actor is happy with the response he is receiving. "I think I'm playing my character well, because people often write to me, asking me not to be rude to Gurvinder. Some have even advised me to soften a bit and not act as a angry young man," he says.

Unlike most actors, Aakash says that he doesn't feel any pressure of joining a popular show, midway. "I wouldn't say that I feel pressurized, but yes, there is a great responsibility on me to give it my best. I have to justify my character and the script," he reasons.

While he loves his role, Aakash is also enjoying every moment on the set. He says, "I bond well with almost everyone on the set, be it my co-artistes or crew members. And, this rapport reflects on the screen as well. I get along especially well with Jigyasa (Singh), as we have previously worked together in 'Thapki Pyar Ki'.''

Though he didn't take much time to bond with his co-actors, adapting to the new normal wasn't that easy. "It was tough initially, but now, we have adapted to the new normal. Also, it is the need of the hour. So, now, all of us take precautions and follow the safety guidelines," Akash says.

He adds, "Life on the set seems a little dull compared to the good old days. I really miss sitting together and chatting with my co-artistes in between shots or during lunch time. Now, we always maintain distance from each other and keep our masks on. I also miss talking to the crew members, which I used to indulge in for hours.
