Shah Rukh Khan to announce his Upcoming Movies on his Birthday! Details inside…

Ever since his last movie Zero, which also starred Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles, tanked at box-office and was heavily criticised by the audiences as well as the critics, everyone has been wondering when Shah Rukh Khan would announce his next venture. 

For almost a year now the Badshaah of Bollywood has been focusing on only producing web series and apart from dubbing for the Hindi version of Mufasa in Jon Favreau’s The Lion King, along with his eldest son Aryan, SRK has avoided appearing on the big screen.

There have been many speculations and reports stating details about the 53-year-old actor’s next project such as replacing Salman Khan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah or him doing the Rakesh Sharma biopic. The actor had also expressed his wish to do an action flick. 

As reported by Bollywood Life, if a report from Mumbai Mirror was to be believed Shah Rukh will be announcing his upcoming projects on his birthday i.e., November 2. One of which is supposed to be with Rajkumar Hirani, he may also do a film with Tamil cinema's celebrated filmmaker S. Shankar, and he is also in a discussion with Gurinder Chadha of Bend it Like Beckham fame for a movie.

There have also been talks about SRK starring in Atlee’s, director of Thalapathy Vijay’s Bigil, next. As reported by Koimoi, this movie will be an out-and-out commercial movie. A source from Bollywood Hungama, as quoted by Koimoi, said, “Shah Rukh Khan has been reading many scripts. He has been having intense interactions with Ali Abbas Zafar but that film is not happening right now for some reason. 

“Ali too has got busy with his web series Tandav, starring Saif Ali Khan. On the other hand, Atlee’s film with superstar Vijay, Bigil, is expected to release in some time. The director was to do another film with Vijay in December but again, this project is not happening at the moment. Atlee’s dates, hence, are free from December.”

Confirming that it’s not a remake of any film, the source continued, “Atlee’s film with Shah Rukh Khan is an original flick and not a remake of the filmmaker’s earlier films like Mersal or Theri. Atlee wrote the script sometime back and it’ll be a complete massy entertainer, full of action. SRK loved the premise and trusts Atlee’s vision. Hence, Shah Rukh Khan should sign this film for sure, if all goes well. This film will be produced by SRK’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment. Atlee, moreover, will be paid Rs. 30 crores if this project materializes.”
