Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri had Three Weddings! Here’s why

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are Bollywood’s most lovable couple. Having completed 29 beautiful years of marriage, the couple still makes each one of us fall in love with them every single time. Throughout these years, the duo has managed to keep their affection and togetherness intact and shell out major relationship goals!

The lovely couple today has a happy family with three kids- Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. However, it’s not been a smooth ride for them as Shah Rukh and Gauri came from different walks of religion. But that did not affect their love story and they have successfully come stronger out of it.

Shah Rukh and Gauri had met back when they were 19 and 13 respectively, and soon their love grew for each other. The duo wanted to get married to each other but religion did come in the way as SRK is a Muslim and his better half a Punjabi. Surprisingly, Khan went for about 5 years without telling Gauri's parents about his religion.

But like they say: Love always wins! SRK and Gauri set out to tie the knot and start their fairytale soon. And, the couple not just got married once but thrice! 

Shah Rukh and Gauri first registered themselves for a court marriage. Later, on August 26, 1991, the couple had a ‘nikah’, followed by a Hindu wedding ceremony on October 25, 1991. And that’s how the couple got married three times!

Shah Rukh is known as the King of Romance in the movies but in real life, it is no different. He is a darling husband and a doting father to his kids. The star couple grabs eyeballs every time they make an appearance together and their adorable camaraderie is always a delight to witness.
