Shagun Pandey Comes Out As A Trans Ally!

Actor Shagun Pandey aka Atharva from Zee Tv drama Tujhse Hai Raabta was recently seen playing the character of a transgender for a sequence in the show. There have been many actors who have stepped out of their comfort zones to portray their characters and Shagun has joined the list of such actors recently.

Shagun took to his social media to express his views on playing a transgender. He captioned his post, “Being transgender is independent of sexual orientation.Transgender people may identify as heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, asexual, or may decline to label their sexual orientation. The term transgender is also distinguished from intersex, a term that describes people born with physical sex characteristics "that do not fit typical binary notions of male or female bodies"The opposite of transgender is cisgender, which describes persons whose gender identity or expression matches their assigned sex”.

We cannot deny the fact that Shagun portrayed the character of Mastaani really well. Isn’t it? His post speaks about transgender as a term and we really appreciate Shagun getting into the skin of the character.
