Shagun Pandey aka Meet Ahlawat of Zee TV show ‘Meet’ gets nostalgic on Dussehra

The celebration of Dussehra is going on in full swing. This special day signifies the victory of good over evil after Lord Ram defeated Lanka king Ravana.

India Forums got in touch with actor Shagun Pandey aka Meet Ahlawat of Zee TV show ‘Meet’. In a candid chat with us, Shagun reminisced memories of Dussehra celebration from his childhood. He said, “Back in the day, when we used to live in a rented apartment in Chandigarh, my father used to take a half-day holiday and take me and my sister to the community ground to witness the Dusshera celebrations. We used to stand there and see the Ravan Dahan ritual and I remember how my dad used to pick us up on his shoulders so that we could see the whole ritual. Meanwhile, my mom used to prepare some amazing delicacies for us and so, immediately after the ritual, we used to rush back home”.

He added, “We also used to visit the market, which used to be full of lights and every time we visited the market during the festivities, we used to buy a couple of toys for ourselves. Those were such wonderful days and I feel nostalgic remembering them. Talking about my plans for this year, I won't be able to go to my hometown to celebrate Dusshera this year as I'm working, but I'll be going home to celebrate Diwali with my parents, so I am really looking forward to this festive season.”
