Shagun on Sasural Genda Phool 2 wrapping up: I felt like I belonged here; I was very emotional on last day

TV show Sasural Genda Phool 2 wrapped up this week and well, it is always an emotional moment for an actor and the entire team on shooting their last. The show will be airing its last episode soon and the team has already shot for the same. With Shagun Sharma and Jay Soni in the lead roles, everyone was excited to see what's in store, however, the same did not translate into numbers.

Talking about how did she do with the news, and what was shooting on the last day like, Shagun told India Forums,

''The day I got to know the show is going off-air, as the last day started nearing, I used to cry so frequently. Before the last day, I already cried on the sets 3-4 times and yesterday, I was like oh god. I was like they have seen me cry so many times, they won't even console me (laughs).''

She adds,

''It is very hard. I live alone here and then when you shoot with a team everyday, they become like family and letting go of a team so good, where everyone was so good, it is difficult. Everybody was like family and during COVID, we had hardly shot together, but they sent food, regularly asked me how am I doing, it is not very easy to find such a team. I was just very emotional on the last day. Jay and I were shooting in the end and I was like I am not going to shoot with this mad human anymore, and I will miss shooting with literally everyone.''

She feels that this break would do good to her as she hadn't slept well since 14 days, adding how it wasn't just the show, but also other things.

She concluded, by saying.

''If the show would have worked, I would have been happier, because the story and everything was lovely, shooting was fun, and I can't emphasize enough as to how amazing the people are. Especially, given the fact that most of them were not in my age group, but they were all great. We have this thing in our head as to how we might not relate to them because they don't belong to the same age group but everyone is so forward, they are open to your opinion and what you believe in. I felt like I belonged here.''

The show will air its last on April 15.
