Shabana Azmi Mourns the Death of Mother Shaukat Kaifi!

Today, Bollywood woke in dread as Shabana Azmi’s mother Shaukat Kaifi passed away at the age of 93. 

Bollywood is hearing some sad news back-to-back as earlier this week, ace celebrity designer Manish Malhotra’s father left for a heavenly adobe. While the fraternity could recover from sad news, now they will be mourning the death of Shaukat Kaifi. 

The reports in Times of India suggested that she left for a heavenly adobe as she breathed her last yesterday night due to age-related illness. As the family mourns the loss of their loved ones they found support from the industry colleagues, who stood by them in this weakest phase.

Several celebrities arrived to offer their condolences. Tabu, Boney Kapoor, Urmilla Matondkar, and Sayami Kher, Manish Malhotra were few of the celebrities spotted outside Azmi’s residence to offer their condolences. 

According to the Times Of India report, she was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital, for certain days and was in the ICU. The reports further said that they had brought her home late last night. The last rites are to be held on Saturday noon.
