Saurabh Tewari on' Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon' !

Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon's promos on TV has become an instant hit with the audience and has managed to create the buzz necessary for a new launch.

Tellybuzz spoke to Saurabh Tewari of Nauntanki Productions and asked him what prompted him to take on this project- " It's my first proper venture and the expectations are very high from the show.We have worked a hard on the show and always wanted to work on a project that was as grand as a feature film. We built a grand set for it and will take us 6 months just to break even.The whole journey till now has been a dream run for us and we are hoping number wise we will be able to top the charts"

We further asked him to tell us about the various hurdles he faced to execute his dream project –" It has been one of the difficult shows that  has been shot on TV. We shot in Hyderabad in month of April which is usually a sunny and a warm month but we were greeted with rains and it was like battling Mother Nature. "

Drashti Dhami and Vivian Dsena both enjoyed unparalleled success with their previous shows respectively. The viewers are keenly waiting this new pairing of the two actors. We quizzed Sourab on what prompted him to pick Drashti and Vivian as leads- "In this show every character demands a strong performance, which we realized was a tall order for any newcomer. We tried a few newcomers but the feedback was not upto the mark, so we decided to go with known faces."

'Madhubala' the title role is been played by Drashti Dhami. Saurabh Tewari shared his thoughts on that- "She is a powerhouse of performance and obviously she looks like Madhubala."
