Sara-Kartik to ring in New Year together; Mom Amrita Singh Furious over Couple’s Romance

It all started when Sara Ali Khan made a sensational revelation on Karan Johar’s talk show stating that she has a crush on Kartik Aaryan, and would like to go on a date with him. And, not to forget that Ranveer Singh played cupid for the two actors and made the two meet and exchange numbers at an award ceremony. 

Sara and Kartik’s romance grew while shooting for their upcoming film, Imtiaz Ali’s Aaj Kal, wherein they will be sharing screen space for the first time ever. And soon the news of the couple’s relationship started making headlines. The duo’s cheeky posts and loved up notes for each other only added fire to the conjecture of the two dating. 

Amidst the ever smooth relationship between the two actors, the reports of their break up circulated online and shocked all their fans. Reportedly, the duo had mutually decided to part ways, in order to focus on their professional life and career. 

However, this may not be the end of Sara and Kartik’s courtship as the two actors are keen on spending time with each other. A Bollywood Hungama report states that the duo is planning to ring in the New Year together and start the coming year with a bang.

But not all is merry for the two actors as Sara and Kartik’s budding romance has left the actress’s mom Amrita Singh unhappy and furious. The report further adds that the mother-daughter duo often gets mired in arguments over the latter’s relationship, and reportedly Amrita wants her daughter to focus on her work and not indulge in any distractions.

“Amrita feels now is the time for her daughter to consolidate her career and not get distracted by matters of the heart. Sara, on the other hand, is way too spontaneous to make calculated career decision. She thinks with her heart. And her heart tells her it’s okay to mix work with a personal life,” Bollywood Hungama quotes a source as saying.

Nonetheless, Sara and Kartik’s relationship has also left Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan in divided opinions. While Amrita feels troubled with her daughter’s personal life, dad Saif feels otherwise. 

“Both Kareena and Saif are fond of Kartik, especially Kareena who shot for a show with Kartik recently and has since then been telling her friends what a well-behaved boy he is,” the report further adds a source close to Saif as saying.
