Sara Khan: I am on this show to let people know that controversies don't define me

Actress Sara Khan, who has entered 'Lock upp' the first ever reality show made on an OTT platform. The show comprising of thirteen inmates have to fight for ten odd weeks surpassing all the torturous curveballs thrown at them and prove themselves inside the house. The Bidaai actress who has surely added the much needed glamour in the show, has surely made a very strong point at her arrival itself, which shows a glimpse of her resilient perspective towards her past. 

When questioned about her past, Sara firmly asserted,

"Mein bas is show me ye batane aayi hu ki ye (controversies) cheezen mujhe define nahi karti. Mera kaam mujhe define karta hai. Aur isi wajah se aaj mujhe ye show me bulaya gaya hai. Meine kaam kiya hai zindagi me, na ki sirf controversies" (I'm on this show let people know that controversies don't define me. It's my work that defines me. And I've been called on this show for that very reason. I've worked a lot in life, not just partook in controversies)".

However the actress reiterated her stance by saying that she need not do controversies to sustain in the industry as she has had a prolific repertoire and a significant career spanning over a decade. The actress who has starred in over 20 shows till date averred "Koi bhi ladki ye cheezen enjoy nahi karengi. Jab mera already industry me number-one show ke saath (Bidaai) launch hua, uske baad mujhe zarurat nahi thi ki ye cheap stunt karne pade. Ek normal ladki ki tarah pyaar kiya, ek normal ladki ki tarah chaaha ki shayad shaadi hogi aur it will be like how every girl thinks. Par mere saath waisa nahi hua. Wo ladki ko kisi ne nahi dekha ki wo kya go-through kar rahi rahegi." (No girl enjoys controversies. When I was already launched through industry's number one show (Bidaai), I didn't need to do cheap publicity stunts. I loved just like a regular girl and just like a regular girl I hoped my marriage would be just like one would hope. But that never happened. And no one ever thought what I would be have been going through)
