Sara Ali Khan recently shared her thoughts on feeling envious of Alia Bhatt when she won the National Award for Best Actress in 2023. In an interview at NDTV Yuva, Sara admitted that seeing Alia achieve so much, including her successful film Gangubai Kathiawadi, her marriage to Ranbir Kapoor, and the birth of their daughter Raha, made her feel overwhelmed.

Reflecting on that moment, Sara said that her initial reaction was a mix of admiration and envy. She wondered how Alia had managed to balance her personal and professional life so well. However, as she thought deeper, she realized that her perspective was limited. She acknowledged that every success story comes with its own struggles, and she had overlooked the effort and challenges Alia might have faced to reach that point. This realization changed her outlook, helping her appreciate the hard work behind such achievements rather than just the results.

Apart from this, Sara also spoke about her aspirations in the film industry. She expressed her desire to work with acclaimed directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Zoya Akhtar. Sara believes that Indian cinema has a vast range of stories to tell, and she wants to be a part of films that showcase the dreams and ambitions of modern Indian women. She still holds onto the wish of playing a queen in a Bhansali film while also portraying a contemporary woman in a Zoya Akhtar project.

As she continues to grow in her career, Sara is gearing up for her next film, Metro... In Dino, where she will star alongside Aditya Roy Kapur. The film is a spiritual sequel to Life in a... Metro (2007) and will feature multiple interconnected stories about love and relationships in today’s world. Other cast members in the film include Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film is expected to bring heartwarming narratives to the screen.

With her evolving understanding of the industry and a clear vision for the future, Sara Ali Khan is set to make her mark with diverse roles and meaningful stories.
