Bollywood celebrities are leaving no stone unturned to help the needy amidst these tough times the nation is facing. The coronavirus pandemic has caused tremendous financial losses and the need for monetary help and medical assistance is on the high.
With the number of cases only growing with each passing day, B-town celebs are coming forward to do their bit. Joining the bandwagon of actors pledging donations to the PM-CARE Relief Fund is Sara Ali Khan. Sara has pledged to donate to the noble cause and help the ones in need.
“I pledge to donate to the PM CARES Fund and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (Maharashtra). I urge everyone to do their bit in helping the people of our country. Every contribution counts and solidarity is our only hope against this pandemic” read her post.
She wrote alongside: "Time to do a good deed. Stay in and help those in need! Your contributions will protect and feed ???? I urge you to support, I request, I plead. ???????? #jaihind #staysafe #IndiaFightsCorona”
Besides Sara, other actors have also stepped forward and pledged their contributions to the relief fund. Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Kartik Aaryan, Anushka Sharma, Kapil Sharma, Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar, Ayushmann Khurrana, Guru Randhawa and T-Series owner Bhushan Kumar, to name a few.
Akshay Kumar donated a whopping amount of Rs 25 crore towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s PM-CARES fund to help the government in its fight against the coronavirus pandemic, and reportedly said that this wasn’t his contribution, this was his mother’s to Bharat Maa.
