Sara Ali Khan called out for keeping mum over Falguni Peacock Controversy!

Recently, ace Fashion Designer Sabyasachi was slammed for his Instagram post which netizens claimed objectified women.The Bollywood designer had written in his post "If you see a woman 'overdressed', caked with makeup, armored with jewelry, it is most likely that she is wounded. Bleeding inside, silently,” and was slammed for the same. And next, Fashion Designer Falguni Peacock’s derogatory comments body shaming plus size brides has taken over the Internet!

Amber Qureshi who owns a brand called Plum Tree which caters to women for plus sizes spoke to Spotboye, addressing the Falguni Peacock controversy. The lady mentioned at length that she was disappointed to see this happen.

Amber also added that Sara Ali Khan, who made her debut on the ramp and walked at the India Couture Week 2019 for Falguni Peacock was present right there. She called out the Kedarnath actress for staying mum over the entire controversy and the remarks made. "Sara Ali Khan should have spoken up, she was just sitting by her side,” Amber told the entertainment portal.

For the uninitiated, it happened during a recent interview with Good Times, where Falguni Peacock was asked as to what advice would she give to plus size women and she had replied saying,”I won't blatantly tell her to lose weight, but you have enough time and you can work on yourself. It is pretty easy to lose a couple of inches if you want to.”

Further, when she was asked as to what advice would she give to a bride who is unable to lose weight, she replied, "Long blouses, more flared lehengas and not fitted because fitted won't really work when you’re a little big. No deep necks for them maybe more higher." These remarks by the famous designer didn't go down well with several people and invited a lot of rage online.

In fact, owing to the massive criticism, the video has been pulled down too. 

Meanwhile, neither Sara nor Falguni Peacock have further spoken up about the controversy. Stay tuned for more updates...
