Star Plus' medical drama, Sanjivani 2 hasn't quite managed to garner the desired numbers as one would have desired, where it has in fact been struggling to get good numbers ever since its inception.
For the past few weeks, the show hasn't even made it into the Top 20 shows which should be an occurrence considering the massive star cast and scale it possesses. And as we talk about the cast, the show is all set to witness a replacement soon.
Actress Rashmi Singh, who is currently seen playing the role of Dr. Asha Kanwar will soon be replaced by Chandni Bhagwanani. Yes! That's right. According to a report in Bombay Times, Bhagwanani, who was last seen in Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop will be playing the role of Dr. Asha Kanwar now.
About coming in as a replacement, she said, “It is difficult to replace someone because people have already accepted him/her in that role. Though I love challenges, I am a bit nervous as I will be facing the camera almost after a year and that, too, with a character, someone else has already established. However, I will not treat it as a replacement, and will approach it as a new character and will play it my own way.”
On the idea of being replaced in a show, she said, "I have been replaced a lot of times. I was disheartened when I was replaced in 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani' and then in Dream Girl. However, that’s a part and parcel of this profession. I, too, had replaced Hansika Motwani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.”
We wish Chandni all the best for this new chapter.
