Sanaya Irani Opens Up on Why 'Ved & Arya' Is a Special Film For Her

Actor Sanaya Irani may not be entirely active on the television front but lately the actor has been staring in multiple projects which included her Bollywood debut last year. Now almost a season artist of starring in short films, the actor was recently seen in yet another short film called Ved & Arya co-starring Nakuul Mehta.

In an interview with Tellychakkar, Irani opened up on why is this film really special to her. She said, "Working on this film was a fabulous experience. We had so much fun all through. The vibe and the energy of working with such creatively charged minds was incredibly joyful. I'm so glad to be Arya and can't wait for everyone to see this short film. It's a sweet film with a big heart. Also, this project is special for more reasons than one as this film is full of firsts for me, including working with Nakuul who has been a friend for so many years now."

Released by Terribly Tiny Talkies, Ved & Arya is directed by Ritesh Menon. It explores the challenges of modern-day dating as the two protagonists carefully navigate the tricky waters without judgment. Their conversation and understanding of each other's history forms the crux of this film that is dedicated to learning about, accepting and celebrating love.

RoseWine 7 days ago The story was very cute but the concept has a long way to go in India. Unfortunately with India trying to copy and be as western as possible the pressure is real. Nothing wrong with someone who is Lesbian or Gay but I cannot say that will normal because it isn't. There is a reason Women bleed and Men don't. There is a reason why Men have sperm and women have eggs. Till Men actually menstruate I will never believe this to be a normal part of society. Sure many have disorders and other things happen in the body, doesn't mean that is normal.
