Salman Khan’s Special Eidi: Donated Food Kits to 5000 Families

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan made the festival of Eid extra special for 5000 families as he donated ‘Eid Kits’ - including milk, ghee, vermicelli and dry fruits to the needy to help them celebrate the festival well.

Salman has been relentlessly helping the ones hit by COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown. Right from daily wage workers to local villagers around his farmhouse, the actor has come to the rescue of every person in need. He has been donating ration and essential items to the underprivileged in these tough times when they are unable to find a source of income.

A few days ago, Salman introduced a food van called ‘Being Haangryy’ to donate food grains and ration to needy people across different locations. On the special occasion of Eid, the actor distributed 5000 Eid kits. 

Hossain Sha, the rider of a Being Haangryy ration truck, told indianexpress.com, “Salman Bhai has instructed us to distribute ration for everyone who needs it in the city. We have been doing that in the slum pockets of Mumbai. Last three days, we have been also distributing Eid kits which consist of milk, ghee, vermicelli and dry fruits. These are the things families would require to make sheer kurma to celebrate Eid today. We were distributing the same till late last night, and today also we went to Bandra Kurla area which we couldn’t cover earlier. This is our small way of spreading some smiles in these difficult times.”

Besides, Khan has also come forward to help the daily wage workers by sending money directly into their bank accounts. Salman came to the rescue of daily wage workers from the film industry and pledged to help 25,000 workers, as informed by the Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE).

He is also providing financial aid to 25000 specially-abled artists in the film industry.
