As per fresh reports coming in, Salman Khan's Gorai, Mumbai, bungalow has been raided by Mumbai police and a 62-year-old man, who worked as a caretaker there was arrested on Wednesday in a three-decade-old theft case. The man named Shakti Siddheshwar Rana along with other was was allegedly involved in a theft case dated back in the year 1990.
Police inspector, Ninad Sawant in his statement given to NDTV has revealed that Shakti was arrested in 1990 by the crime branch after he was allegedly found to be one of the culprits in the theft case. However, he was released on bail. But, he took off and became untraceable after he was released. Since then he has been on the search list of the police.
After which, the court had issued a non-bailable warrant against him but despite rigorous search the police could not track him down.
On Wednesday, the crime branch officials received a tip off that Shakti Rana was living in a house in Gorai beach area for the last 20 years and after probing more it was discovered that he has been working for Salman Khan as a caretaker of his bungalow in Gorai and later the police made the arrest. Further investigation is on.
