Salman Khan starrer Radhe’s pirated version leaked on social media; FIR registered against 3 users

An FIR has been registered against three WhatsApp and Facebook users in connection to the usage of pirated version of the Salman Khan-starrer film Radhe. The film has found its way on social media platforms, a police official said on Tuesday as reported by India Today. 

The recent development comes after the makers lodged a complaint against the leak of Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, on social media platforms and messaging apps hours after its official release last week.

The FIR was filed by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, the film's producer, at the central cyber police station here after the pirated version of the film started doing the rounds on various online platforms, he said.

The accused of two different mobile numbers on WhatsApp and one Facebook user, who were offering to sell the film (by download) for payment remain unidentified, the police official reportedly said. 

Owing to the complaint, an FIR has been registered against the trio under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act and the Copyright Act. The official added that a probe is currently underway.

Meanwhile, the police were actively tracking down the social media accounts and phone numbers on messaging apps involved in the act of piracy, the official said.

Ahead of the release, Salman had warned his followers not to watch the film on pirated sites once again and told them that they could get into a lot of trouble.

The Sultan actor had shared a video urging everyone to say no to piracy. In the video, Salman mentioned how so much hard work goes into making a film and it is upsetting to see some people taking to piracy to enjoy a film.

Shortly after the film's release, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai was leaked on Tamilrockers and Telegram.
