As the second wave of Covid-19 has hit the nation, the Bhaijaan of Bollywood, Salman Khan was one of the first celebrities to extend a helping hand yet again amid the pandemic.
He restarted his food trucks ‘Being Haangryy' and distributed 5000 food packets to frontline workers fighting Covid-19.
Recently, Salman Khan and his team came to the rescue of a 18-year-old boy from Karnataka, who sought help from social media after his father passed away due to Coronavirus.
The superstar provided ration and educational equipment to the boy in need. Yuva Sena leader Rahul S Kanal, who collaborated with Salman on the food trucks initiative shared details about the time while speaking to Mid-Day:
“We have provided ration and educational equipment to him. We will be there for him and provide whatever is needed for his betterment. Salman’s family of fans are enabling us to help others. Salman told us to go out and be there for every human in need. He is aware of every fan club devoted to him. He is also aware of every request that comes his way, and the ones that we are providing aid to.”
Kanal also added that help has been provided to 5,000 frontline workers by sending medical equipment, oxygen cylinders, and food packets provided to the underprivileged. He also shared that 180 blood plasma donations have been made by members of Salman’s fan clubs in Indore.
On the work front, Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. The film is set to release in theatres as well as on ZeePlex on May 13, 2021.
