Salman Khan Freed of Charges Filed by Bigg Boss Contestant Zubair Khan

Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan freed of charges filed against him by former Bigg Boss contestant Zubair Khan. In October 2017, Zubair filed a private complaint against Salman, saying that he threatened him during the show. The FIR was also lodged against Viacom 18 Media Private Ltd and Endemolshine India, Mumbai, which he claimed, has tarnished his image on television.

According to reports, Zubair filed an application for withdrawing the case filed against Salman in April 2019 in the Judicial Magistrate First Class Court in Vadgoan Maval, stating the reason that he does not want to drag the matter. The court observed that the application had been made voluntarily and further noticed that even the sessions court has granted a stay in the matter. Therefore, the court disposed of the complaint filed by Zubair and acquitted Salman under the sections, 504 and 506 of the IPC.

The 39 year old Producer and Director earlier stated that he had provided the requisite information to Endomolshine, Colors and Viacom 18, which they later used to portray him as a goon, just for the sake of TRPS. Post which he received threat calls from Dawood Ibrahim. He claimed that Salman threatened him during the show, smearing his image, which eventually led him to overdose and depression, following which he was taken to a private hospital. He further alleged that they took him to some facility in Lonavala to cover up the negligence in the matter.
