Sara Ali Khan has been making headlines for her recent release Love Aaj Kal which also starred Kartik Aaryan. Gradually, from the time the young starlet has entered the Hindi film industry, she has been trying to carve a niche for herself and fans can’t stop admiring her. However, Sara’s recent release directed by Imtiaz Ali couldn’t make the impact that it was expected to do. The film which was a remake of her father Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone's 2009 outing Love Aaj Kal, eventually failed miserably, both in winning the audience and minting numbers at the box office.
At an earlier interview, Saif was asked about his reaction after watching the trailer of his daughter’s film Love Aaj Kal, to which he had said that although it’s been 10 years since his film released, he still remembers shooting for Love Aaj Kal and then confessed that he kind of liked his trailer more.
While the film failed to satisfy the critics, it garnered rocketing response from the audience at the box office as it earned a gross of Rs 41.65 crores in India, and earned 12 crore net on its opening day.
Now when Saif was asked about Sara’s last film not faring well at the box office, he gave a very beautiful reply. Expressing how proud he is of his darling daughter, the 49-year-old actor added a piece of meaningful advice for her to keep going on.
I am very proud of Sara. Hits and misses are a part of the game.- Saif Ali Khan
