Saif Ali Khan gets his Highest Opener of the Decade; Jaawani Jaaneman's Day 1 Box Office Collection...

Right from its promotions, Jawaani Jaaneman has had everyone talking and with the film having released now, it seems all the hype around this wholesome family entertainer was totally worth it. Being one of the most anticipated coming-of-age film, Jawaani Jaaneman has not only fans, but even the critics raving about it with positive reviews.

And while many continue to sing praises about the film, this Nitin Kakkar directorial has also opened to great numbers at the Box Office. Jawaani Jaaneman’s Day 1 collection has amounted to Rs 3.24 crores, making it Saif Ali Khan’s biggest box office opener in the past decade.  While Saif is the crowned prince of the rom-com genre on the big screen, the first-day collections of his solo shouldered films from the past have been surpassed by Jawaani Jaaneman’s business on day 1. In fact, shows are already running housefull for the first weekend, and it is just the beginning for the film’s victory march.

Saif’s 2018 films Kalakaandi and Chef went on to open to a crore and more on its release day. While Bazaar took a higher feat with earning Rs 2.75 crores, Laal Kaptan (2019) only managed to rake in 50 lakhs on day one. With all these figures from solely shouldered Saif Ali Khan films, we can only say that Jawaani Jaaneman is surely bringing a major change in the list of his highest grossers. 

The Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Saif Ali Khan and Jay Sjewakramani production had left everyone impressed with its trailer and songs and the film now seems to have created a stir amongst the audience. The fans have been intrigued to watch this quirky chemistry between  Saif and Tabu. Critics had earlier even touted debutante Alaya.F to be a surprise package with immense potential from the glimpses in the trailer. The songs and trailer combined have clocked over 100 million views.  

The film is said to be an emotional yet fun journey without diving too much into melodrama. Several trade critics have lauded the makers for this light-hearted film at the beginning of the New Year. The audience is loving Saif Ali Khan’s uber-cool Casanova avatar. And with the opening figures being so impressive, Jawaani Jaaneman is surely having some big moolah on its way.
