Saif Ali Khan attack: Mumbai Police arrests the intruder; investigation to follow

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan recently experienced a shocking and life-threatening incident when an intruder entered his Bandra residence and attacked him with a knife. The horrifying event has left his fans and the film industry in disbelief. Saif sustained multiple injuries during the attack and was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery. In a significant breakthrough, the Mumbai Police has now reportedly arrested the attacker and have taken him into custody. Last night a cctv footage was recovered showcasing the face of the attacker while he was trying to enter the building.

The police also recovered a fragment of the knife from Saif’s back during the surgery. However, part of the blade is still missing, and authorities are working tirelessly to locate it. Officials believe that the attacker had intimate knowledge of the building’s layout, allowing him to evade most security measures.

Surveillance footage from a sixth-floor resident’s CCTV briefly captured the intruder, but he managed to escape through the rear gate, avoiding other cameras.

As part of the ongoing investigation, the police have detained two laborers who were working on the terrace of Saif’s building. These workers are being questioned to establish any possible links to the attacker or to determine if they unintentionally provided information about the property’s access points. Officials suspect the intruder's actions might have been facilitated by someone familiar with the building’s structure.

Saif’s wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, issued an official statement addressing the traumatic event. She urged the media and the public to respect their family’s privacy during this difficult time. “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. I request everyone to refrain from speculating and allow us the space to heal,” she said in the heartfelt message.
