Sahara One's latest show, Jo Ishq Ki Marzi Woh Rab Ki Marzi, is a tale of two lovebirds set in the later part of the 19th century and spans two decades. The look of the show is grand and opulent and focuses on the lifestyle of the zamindars in that era.

Sagar Arts period love story on Sahara One..
Playing the lead roles in this period love story are Neil Bhatt of Arslaan fame and Neha Marda who was earlier seen in Ek Thi Rajkumari. The actress is presently part of COLORS' Balika Vadhu.

The story is of two bosom childhood friends Sumer and Sunaina (Neil and Neha Marda) who get separated because of a rift between their families. After years, the two come face to face in the Gurukul where they study, and here blooms their eternal love story, which sets them on a journey where they are destined to unite.

Sagar Arts, who expertise in mythological shows have left no stone unturned to give a realistic feel to this 19th century love story. They have done an extensive research on the costumes and jewellery prevalent in that era. Says Nilanjana Purkayastha, Business Head SaharaOne Television, “Jo Ishq Ki Marzi Who Rab Ki Marzi has a distinct style that sets it apart from other period or mythological shows. Great care has been taken in choosing the fabrics and cuts. We have chosen an earthy feel as opposed to the overly opulent look that such shows on TV have. The show itself has a fresh, young feel. It is shot on virgin locales and the costumes are organic to that”.

Describing more on the efforts taken, Shakti Sagar, Producer, Sagar Arts says, “We have tried our best to incorporate the kind of workmanship of 19th century in the costumes, as well as jewelry. We have used colors of vegetable dye for the clothes. We have maintained the drapes in the sarees as well as dupattas which used to be unique to each region. Coming to the jewels, we have made use of kundan and various other hand-made jewels, as at that time the goldsmiths used to use hammers and chisels to design them”.

According to our well-placed source, “Even the best hairstylist from Mumbai Alim has been consulted on the hairstyles of the characters”.

The show will start from November 10th at the 8.30 pm slot.
