SAB TV celebrates Janmashtami Special..

SAB TV promises to make Janmashtami celebrations a delightful watch for viewers across the nation. Papad Pol, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah & Lapataganj will rejoice Janmashtami with lots of devotion, fun and happiness.

Papad Pol will air a one hour special episode on 3rd September-Friday from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. In the show Papad Pol will witness a fancy dress competition happening amongst 5 Pols. Every year the fancy dress competition happens amongst various Pols and in the previous year Ameri Pol had beaten Papad Pol badly. Thus, Papad Pol residents decide they will not participate this year but, upon Kokila's insistence Vinaychand and other members decide to give it another try. They start preparations with dress trials, rehearsals of performances and lots of backstage drama. Batuk - Bhavna will enact Bharat Mata and Hindustani. Ghanoba becomes Sanjukta & Ranjan Ba is Prithviraj Chauhan, Labu and Daksha perform on adivasi dance sequence. Ameri Pol's Jayshree on every step tries to sabotage their efforts to win this competition. At last when they don't succeed they call Mitesh –Kokila's dance partner and inform him that his mother is not well. Mitesh rushes leaving Kokila to perform on Radha kaise na jale.But, at the last minute Vinaychand dresses as Krishna and performs brilliantly with Kokila. Their rival team Jayshree and Mayuri give a stellar performance on Nimbuda Nimbuda…both teams are waiting for the results with bated breath.

Ami Trivedi aka Kokaila Parikh says, "Krishnji has always been my favorite and playing the role of Radha gives me a special feeling. It will be an interesting episode to look forward too."

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah has grand plans to celebrate Janmashtami on the sets in extravagant style! At Gokuldham society a mini feud has been sparked between the men and women. The women are angry with the men and have decided to showcase women power. Hence, they get in the competitive spirit of Janmashtami and decide to compete against the men in Matkiphod competition. And this time it's not only men but, the women to do the climbing for Dahi Handi for a change. It will be interesting to watch who eventually will top as the winner amongst men and women teams.

Dilpi Joshi aka Jethalal says, "Janmashtami has always been exciting and a fun event for me. I have a lot of memories from my childhood of this special day. My elder brother has always been an active participant in Dahi handi competitions. Once I remember he had already reached the point where he could break the handi but his team fell down and he was left up holding the rope all by himself. Everyone held their hand making a human net for his rescue. But, he was strong and like Krishna he broke the handi and came down."

Lapataganj at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will again capture the essence of Janmashtami. The story of Krishna from his birth is being narrated where Mamaji starts drawing parallel between Kans and him and Biji and Krishna. Kachua Chacha & Elizabeth taylor tell Mama that in the past he too has done Kans like acts against Biji and now Biji as Krishna can make Mama pay for his wrong doings. Mama starts imagining that Biji as Krishna is coming to kill him and he gets frightened. He starts preparing plans to kill Krishna (Biji).As his plans fail people advice him to end the evil within his heart.
