Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 actress Sneha Jain recalls a casting couch experience, says 'I was shocked'

Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 actress Sneha Jain has managed to carve out a place for herself in the television space with her performance in the show. However, her journey so far, hasn't been easy, and she has had to deal with her share of highs and lows to reach where she is today. Recently, she got talking about her experience with casting couch in the past, among other things, and also spoke about what she wants for herself ahead.

She revealed in an interview with ETimes TV, how she got a call from a casting director in South and he offered her a film about college students. She revealed how he told her details and she sent them her profile along with photographs and soon after, she got a call saying that they will have to travel to Hyderabad to meet the director and the producer. While she agreed and ask for details of the film, she also mentioned that she would be travelling with her mother.

She further added how he told her that the condition for the same was that she would have to compromise with him and it left her in shock. She revealed how she was told that she would have to spend the day with the director in Hyderabad and she would then receive 50 percent of the payment and the rest would be paid after the shoot is half done.

She said, ''I was shocked and told him straight away that this is wrong and I cannot be a part of such a project. He started telling me how it is not a big deal and everyone does it. I told him I don’t want to be famous and bag through all this, if I want a project I want it on my talent. He called me after a week again and told me that the deal is still on. I yelled at him and asked him to stop calling me as I don’t want to be a part of such a project.''

Among other things, she also spoke about what she wants for herself in the future and mentioned how she just wants to do good work as an actor and the medium does not bother her. She says that she wants to get the satisfaction of performing well, be it on OTT, in films, or daily soaps and short films. She did add, however, that she wishes to work in the OTT space since the offerings are crazy and they have different unique concepts.
