PM Narendra Modi’s idea of Janta Curfew was totally misinterpreted by most Indians as hundreds of people were seen dancing on the streets. Meanwhile, several people have criticized the actions of these citizens who thought it was a party amid the spread of global catastrophe.
Actor Ronit Roy has taken a dig at Sunday’s nationwide Janta curfew suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during which millions came to their balconies at the PM’s encouragement and banged pots and pans in support of essential service providers.
Now, Ronit Roy has asked to initiate a drive to supply essentials to his building’s staff during the coronavirus lockdown and has encouraged others to do the same. He took to his twitter handle and shared the idea which also seemed to be in agreement of the director Anubhav Sinha and what are the measures that need to be taken.
The actor took to his Twitter to share the idea after agreeing with filmmaker Anubhav Sinha that proactive measures should be taken. Referring to Sunday’s nationwide Janta curfew, he wrote: “Aren’t we getting a little obsessed with the Thali banging part? It’s done!! We get it! Aren’t there other pressing matters to take care of? We have started chai, biscuit and snacks service for our building staff, watchman, cleaner etc on need basis . Request ya’ll to do the same.”
He further continued, “Let’s gear up to provide these people with basic rations which they will need shortly. A building society has enough people to take care of their help. Even cooked meals turn by turn from every house as suggested by @anubhavsinha can be given to building service staff.”
Previously, Anubhav had taken to his twitter handle as he shared his concern for strays and the Thappad director has taken up proactive measures as he informed his fans about the same.
