The Coronavirus pandemic led to a nationwide lockdown and while this may be the best thing to do at the moment, the lockdown has caused a financial crisis for all the daily wage workers, who are now put out of work due to the current scenario.
In such a scenario, Bollywood celebrities have also come forward to provide help in every way possible. Many notable actors like Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kartik Aaryan, Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Vicky Kaushal, among others have donated their contributions to the PM Cares Fund and also stood in support of the daily wage workers by providing essential commodities.
Time and again, Rohit Shetty has come forth to support people who have been financially affected due to COVID. He has been doing his bit by helping cine workers and freelance media personals who are homebound due to the lockdown. He has further extended help to the freelance media videographers who have been unable to work by directly transferring money to their accounts.
Previously, Rohit Shetty had come to the rescue of the paparazzi, who were left with no source of income due to the lockdown. He had helped them by depositing money directly into their bank accounts.
Earlier, Shetty also donated Rs 51 lakh to Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), to help daily wage film workers.
