Robin Thakur calls his character the “Spark” of Tu Juliet Jatt Di

Actor Robin Thakur, known for his work in Tu Aashiqui Hai and the Zee Punjabi show Sehajveer, is now gaining attention for his role as Hardy in Tu Juliet Jatt Di, produced by Dreamiyata Entertainment. Talking about his experience, Robin said, “Tu Juliet Jatt Di brings a fresh vibe, and my character adds the spark.”

A Fresh Concept and a Fun Space

Robin shared that the show carries a youthful energy, and Hardy fits naturally into that environment. “The show has a youthful energy, and Hardy fits perfectly into that fun space. He is unpredictable, outspoken, and says the most unexpected things at the most unexpected times. That is what makes him entertaining and memorable,” he explained.

What drew him to the script was the story's distinct idea and tone. “The concept stood out instantly. It felt fresh and exciting, not just for me but also for the audience. The story has a fun college vibe, romance, and friendship, which gives it a unique identity,” he said.

Experience That Helped Shape the Role

Robin also spoke about how his earlier work prepared him for Hardy. “I worked in Tu Aashiqui Hai, where I played Rocky, and then I portrayed Vikram Malhotra, a parallel lead in Sehajveer. That show completed more than 360 episodes and gave me significant exposure. It helped me grow as an actor,” he said.

Unlike roles that require specific workshops or dialect training, Hardy came more naturally to him. “I did not take any workshops or dialect coaching. I trusted my instincts. The character flowed organically, and that made the process enjoyable,” Robin added.

Hardy: Fun on the Surface, Depth Beneath

lthough Hardy is humorous and mischievous, Robin shared that the character also has emotional depth. “Hardy taunts his friend Nawab and jokes a lot, but deep down, he wants him to make better decisions. That balance between fun and concern makes the character interesting,” he said.

He also believes the character has a distinct appeal that viewers will notice as the story progresses. “Hardy has a unique personality, and even his name has a fun recall. As the journey unfolds, people are going to enjoy how he communicates, reacts, and shapes the friendship dynamic in the story,” he added.

Working With the Team

Speaking about his experience on the set, Robin said everyone has been good to work with. “Everyone is great to work with. I observe a lot because you can learn from every actor around you. At the same time, I trust my own process because true learning comes from doing,” he shared.
