Actor Riya Soni might only be relatively fresh on the entertainment circuit but with important roles in shows like Nazar and Wagle Ki Duniya, she has already managed to create a name for herself. And now, Soni is all set to play an important and entirely different role as opposed to her real self in the show, Agar Tum Na Hote.
Talking about it with ETimes TV, Soni said, "I am playing the role of Shagun who is very reserved girl. She is a doctor. I feel I am exactly the opposite of who I'm playing on screen. I am not at all shy, I am very talkative and I like being around people. Another irony is that I was very average in studies and here my character is extremely good at it and she's also a doctor. So it's interesting to play who I am not in real life. Apart from that I have a love track on the show."
She mentioned how she was interested in acting and how did the journey to bagging her first show happen in the form of Nazar. She said, "After doing that show, I went back to Delhi to finish my graduation and then we all were stuck in the pandemic. Last year I got the show Wagle Ki Duniya and now I am ding Agar Tum Na Hote. I'm grateful that I have got work back-to-back. There have been people who have been in industry for long but they also have to wait for years to get a good role. In that case I think I am lucky."
Agar Tum Na Hote has been on Zee TV for over two months.
