'Riverdale' is getting another SPIN-OFF along with the 1st LESBIAN 'Batwoman'

The sensation that Riverdale went on to become can certainly be seen with the three seasons it has spawned till now expanding the Archie universe for the millennials. And it has now been confirmed that the show is getting a spin-off in the form of Katy Keene that has been ordered at CW.

This will happen alongside another new series Batwoman and Nancy Drew. The Katy Keene series will revolve around follows the lives and loves of four iconic Archie Comics characters — including fashion-legend-to-be Katy Keene (Lucy Hale) — as they chase their twenty-something dreams in New York City. The musical dramedy chronicles the origins and struggles of four aspiring artists trying to make it on Broadway, on the runway, and in the recording studio. The series will be set years after the high school-set events of Riverdale and will feature an appearance from an older Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray).

This will be the second spinoff from Riverdale after The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina.

Along with that, Batwoman and Nancy Drew have also been ordered for the 2019-2020 season. The only series to not move forward will be Jane The Novela, a spin-off to CW series, Jane The Virgin. “Batwoman” is based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.
